Outlook will soon flag your most important emails

How much time do you lose each day sifting through your inbox, trying to work out what really needs your attention?

If you’re like most business owners, the answer is probably: far too much.

Between customer queries, supplier updates, internal messages, and the odd marketing email, it’s easy for your inbox to become overwhelming. And when something important gets missed, the consequences can be serious — delays, confusion, or lost opportunities.

Microsoft knows this pain well. And it’s rolling out a clever new solution.

✉️ Meet Outlook’s new Priority view

Outlook for iOS and Android will soon use Copilot, Microsoft’s AI assistant, to automatically flag your most important emails.

The new Priority view will sort your inbox into two clear categories:

  • High Priority — messages you should see first.

  • Needs Replies — emails waiting for your response.

That means the moment you open Outlook on your phone, the messages that matter most will stand out straight away.

💡 Why this matters

We’ve all experienced the frustration of missing an important email buried beneath less urgent ones. With Priority view, Outlook will help you stay focused — cutting through the noise so you can spend less time managing your inbox and more time actually working.

For employees, it also means less stress. No more worrying about missing something vital hidden in a flood of updates or newsletters.

🕐 When you’ll get it

Microsoft is rolling out this feature gradually throughout 2025. It will be available to businesses using Microsoft 365 with a Copilot licence, as Copilot is a paid add-on.

If your organisation is already exploring how AI can streamline daily tasks, this is definitely one to keep an eye on.
