How to Fix the Windows 11 File Explorer "See More" Glitch

If your business has upgraded to Windows 11 version 24H2, you might have encountered a frustrating issue with File Explorer.

File Explorer, the familiar tool you use to navigate files and folders, typically works smoothly. However, the latest update has caused a glitch with the “See more” menu, marked by three little dots.

Instead of appearing neatly under your cursor with options like “Select All” or “View Properties,” the menu now jumps to the top of the screen—sometimes disappearing completely. If you’re working in full-screen mode, some menu options might not even be accessible.

What’s the Fix?

There’s a simple workaround to manage this glitch for now:

1. Switch File Explorer to windowed mode by clicking the square icon in the top-right corner (next to the “X” that closes the window).

2. Resize the window so you can use the “See more” menu without it vanishing.
